New to Ballarat? The City of Ballarat invites all new residents to participate in their New Residents Program.

The program iwelcomes you to our city and helps you settle into our lifestyle quickly and easily.Take advantage of the New Residents Program which includes:
* New Residents Welcome Booklet
* An invitation to attend a series of New Resident Functions throughout the year.

New resident functions
You will be invited to attend a number of New Resident functions during your first year. They are informal and a great way to meet people and find out more about Ballarat and what it has to offer.

Keep you eyes open for..... Another new residents function specifically for 18-25's. The function will be a way to come together and meet other new residents.

 

New Residents

New Residents Welcome Booklet
The New Residents Welcome Booklet provides information about Council and non Council Community Services that assist residents new to Ballarat.

The booklet includes thousands of dollars worth of vouchers to a range of local businesses and in 2011 a section with discounts relevant to 18-25er's is included.

Eligibility
You are eligible if you are a permanent Ballarat resident that has been living here for less than 3 months.

How to apply
At the Customer Service Phoenix Building, 25 Armstrong Street South, Ballarat (you will need about 5 minutes)

Bring the following:
* a signed contract of sale; or
* a rental agreement of at least six months or more;
along with :
* a drivers licence; or
* Photograph ID

If you are 18-25 and don't have either of these, provide a utility bill or your license with your new Ballarat address on it.
